Wular Lake Int'l Short-Filmfest awards 'Run Rostam, Run'

Iranian animation 'Run Rostam, Run' has won an award at the Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival in India.

Written and directed by Hossein Molayemi, ‘Run Rostam Run’ succeeded to grab the best film award at the event.

The 11-minute animation is a free, comic adaptation of the tragic story of Rostam and Sohrab. Rostam, the national epic hero, must travel in time and come to modern Tehran in order to make up for what he has done to his son, Sohrab.

While in Tehran, he cannot decide whether to accomplish his goal through a legal way or an illegal one.

The animated film was first screened at the Tehran International Animation Festival where it won the best animation and the best director awards.

The second edition of Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival was held on April 26-28, 2018 in India.
